Xivana Prime provides Hunter Valley vineyard with new option for downy mildew control

The Hunter Valley’s Tintilla Estate Wines was the first vineyard in the world to purchase Xivana® Prime, a new foliar fungicide that offers excellent, reliable control of downy mildew - a major fungal disease of grapevines that can lead to severe crop loss. With a new mode of action for grape growers and an application window stretching later into the season than other similar products, Head Viticulturist James Lusby says Xivana Prime really helped them out throughout the difficult wet season and showed great results. Being a semi-systemic fungicide that has a low dose rate and when used as directed is soft on beneficials, Nutrien Ag Solutions Agronomist Nigel Wagstaffe says Xivana Prime will offer some significant advantages worldwide.
