Australia, July 2019 – DJ’s Growers Services and the Crop Science division of Bayer have donated $1,000 to the McLaren Vale Biodiversity Project through the iGiveLocal Community Support Program. Now in its fourth year, the iGiveLocal Program has to date donated over $100,000 to more than 190 local causes around the country.
The cheque was proudly presented to the McLaren Vale Biodiversity Project representative Ben Paxton by Derek Cameron representing DJ’s Growers Services. Also, in attendance was Bayer Commercial Sales Representative Darren Alexander.
The McLaren Vale Biodiversity project works on improving native fauna habitats, restoring degraded creek lines and strengthening diminished flora by reducing woody weed levels.
Ben Paxton said: “This fantastic donation will help our group purchase tools and herbicides to help with weed control“.
Derek Cameron continues: “The McLaren Vale Biodiversity Project is a great initiative that DJ’s really supports. It’s great to see the beautification of the McLaren Vale and Willunga communities and this project helps improve the visual aspect for both locals and the tourism sector“.
Darren Alexander adds: “It’s great to be part of something visible that the entire community can enjoy“.
