Now in its fourth year, the iGiveLocal Program has to date donated over $100,000 to more than 190 local causes around the country.
The cheque was proudly presented to the Football Club representatives Jake Smith and Matthew Min by Corey Gilgen of Platinum Ag Loxton and Darren Alexander representing Bayer.
Barmera-Monash Football Club is relatively small club in a small town and funds for equipment are always hard to come by. The donation of these funds will certainly take some pressure off the local businesses who always support the sporting groups.
Corey Gilgen said: “There are numerous local farmers and growers who are part of the football club, it’s great to be able to give something back to help a small sporting organization”.
Darren Alexander adds: “The money will go towards 6 new footballs and with the team currently third on the ladder, hopefully this will give them a good boost for the finals”.
