Primaries Kalannie and the Crop Science division of Bayer have donated $1,000 to the Kalannie Sporting & Recreation Club through the iGiveLocal Community Support Program.

Now in its fourth year, the iGiveLocal Program has to date donated over $100,000 to more than 190 local causes around the country.
The cheque was proudly presented by Mark Waters of Primaries Kalannie to Tricia
Harris, Manager of the Kalannie Sporting & Recreation Club with Tim Sippe of Bayer also in attendance.
The Kalannie Sporting & Recreation Club lost its roof and sustained severe damage during a storm on Easter Friday back in 2018. Whilst the building and contents were insured, the club wanted to use the opportunity to undertake some much-needed renovations and alterations. With the local Shire having committed funds elsewhere these renovations had to be paid for by the community, who have worked tirelessly on the fundraising to be able to complete them.
Mark Waters said: “The club is the social hub for our farming community, we have no hotel in town and being a small town of only 150 people, everything revolves around this club. From sports (footy, netball, junior sports, golf and bowls) through to social gatherings and meetings. This donation will specifically assist in paying for the renovations to the family lounge area and the children’s room. Needless to say, we’re very pleased to be able to make this contribution“.
Tim Sippe adds: “I can tell that this is something Mark and the team at Primaries Kalannie are really passionate about so it’s great to be part of this and see the results“.
