Chris Staff
Crop Science division of Bayer

Chris was appointed Head of Digital Farming on 1 February 2021, after two years leading commercial and digital strategy for the Crop Science division of Bayer in Australia and New Zealand. Chris is responsible for leading the development and commercialisation of Bayer’s Digital Farming and New Business Model portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.
Chris’ 12 years with Bayer have included roles in asset management, channel key account management, field sales leadership and commercial excellence. Chris has worked in Australia and Singapore in both regional and country-based roles.
Entering Bayer without a family history in agriculture, Chris has developed a passion for modern, sustainable agriculture, and particularly for innovation within the industry. There has never been a more important time for innovation in agriculture as it has the power to help solve problems that affect us all. Chris is proud to play a role in pioneering a wave of new technologies for agriculture in Australia and New Zealand, that will shape the industry for future generations.
Chris has a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in business management from Monash University. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Chris is married with two children.
