Now in its third year, the iGiveLocal Program has to date donated over $100,000 to 190 local causes around the country.

The cheque was proudly presented to Warracknabeal Band & Scout Hall President Colin Newell by Paul Crack from Bayer and David Holland from Robert Smith & Co. The donation comes in the wake of a tough 12 months for the Band & Scout Hall following an electrical issue on 6 May 2017, which caused over $4,000 damage. Over the course of the last year the Band Scout Hall Committee has been very grateful to the local community for the support it has received. Both user groups have provided extra money above their annual user fees. The Warracknabeal Lions Club donated $200 and the local CFA donated 3 tonnes of wood which helped the committee raise over $1600 in a raffle.

Robert Smith & Co. Managing Director Andrew Golder said “We are very pleased to help the hall out of a difficult situation given that the building is a home for two groups who contribute to the community.” Mr. Newell commented “We wish to thank Bayer Crop Science for this initiative and Robert Smith & Co. for considering us a worthy recipient. It will help us continue to maintain the hall after what has been a difficult 12 months.”
