After customer Ante Milicevic took home a brand new $16,500 Polaris Ranger UTV in Draw 1, now Wim Van Niekerk of Widem Farming has also welcomed a new Polaris to his farm after the 2nd draw.

Bayer Commercial Sales Representative, Tony Fitzgerald, said “What are the chances, with thousands of entries received from hundreds of different stores all across Australia, TGT got to make two of their customers very happy, looks like lighting does sometimes strike twice”

Upon receiving the Polaris, Wim van Niekerk, said “It was totally unexpected to win the prize, but an absolute thrill. Personally, I thought The Year of the Grower was a brilliant campaign, giving some great prizes back to the farming community when we’re all doing it tough”.

Celebrating with Wim was Allan Sutton, from TGT Dimbulah, which, as the store where the winning product was purchased, also received a $1,000 EFTPOS Gift Card from Bayer. Allan said “Wim is a terrific winner, although new to the area he’s become a loyal customer of TGT Dimbulah, helping support us at the local Hardware and Crop Protection Agency. He farms one of the bigger local farms with some 10,000 lemon and 10,000 lime trees, so the new Polaris will certainly be put to use”. “Ironically”, Allan added “Not only did lighting strike in Dimbulah, but in the same street”, with Wim only living a few hundred metres up the road from Ante.

Wim doesn’t see the Polaris standing around idle either, “With 3 1/2 kilometres to the back paddock and 10,000 extra lemon trees to go into the ground soon, the Polaris is sure to be constantly on the go”.
