The cheque was proudly presented to the Mil Lel Ag Bureau representative James Beck by Craig Foster, General Manager of Castec Rural Services and Craig Jackson of Bayer.
The Mil Lel Ag Bureau will, according to chairperson Tony Beck, use the funds to continue with their ongoing commitment to biodiversity plantings in the Mil Lel and Mingbool Areas. Planting species in those areas where there are some gaps in previous biodiversity plantations.
Craig Foster said: “They are a great local community group, where the volunteers work hard to replant trees to save native wildlife. Revegetating native forest areas allow koalas a new home after they are found in blue gum plantations at the time of harvest. We are happy to be able to donate to this project”.
Craig Jackson adds: “The Mil Lel Ag Bureau have been around for more than 25 years now and do such a good job in replanting. It’s great to partner with Castec Rural Services and be able to give back to the local community in this way”.
